Mechatronics is a department that is a combination of machinery, electric - electronics and computer departments.

Since mechatronics is an interdisciplinary branch of science according to classical systems, it is related to advanced technology, robotics, automation, image processing and control branches.

Since a student studying at the department of mechatronics engineering learns the basic courses such as control, robotics, design, machine theory, logic etc. given in the departments of mechanical engineering, electrical - electronics engineering and computer engineering; having a good theoretical and practical knowledge in machinery, electricity - electronics will bring he / she to the forefront in many sectors, according to the preference of mechanical, electrical - electronics engineer.

A mechatronics engineer will be able to find a wide range of jobs in the automotive sector, the automation sector, and the design and production sectors.

Our department has activated advanced technological laboratories that constitute infrastructure with DPT, TUBITAK and BAP projects. The academic staff is at a very good level with the support of the mechanical, electrical - electronics and computer engineering department staff. Scientific research and development activities of the academic staff of the department are in a very good position. With 7 classrooms and 10 laboratories, it is one of the departments of the faculty in the best position. In Turkey, it can be said that it ranks first among state universities in terms of infrastructure and academic staff.
